ICW Conference
Seminar by DOSH

International Construction Safety Leadership Conference is one of the key highlights of ICW 2017, featured presentations on the implementation of Construction Design Management (CDM), a key reference towards a safer and higher quality construction industry. Based on the CDM framework, the DOSH developed the guidelines on Occupational Safety and Health in Construction Industry (Management). The guideline is created to put Safety and Health as a focus throughout the construction process, from conception, design, to the planning and management of construction projects.

Ir. Dr. Mohd Fairuz Ab Rahman from Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) presented on Construction Management Guidelines. He said the safety in construction must start from the designer while drafting the plan. Then the organization makes sure everyone has the right information, instruction, training and supervision. Required level will depend on the risks involved in the project, complexity and scale of the project, and the level of skills, knowledge, training and experience of the workforce. Fundamental of Safety – giving the right information, for the right people and at the right time.
INSIGHT FROM EXHIBITORS AND VISITORS

Exhibitors

Our panel is self-sufficient, using no energy whatsoever apart from the Sun, so Ecobuild certainly appealed to us and along with residential developers we have met many other people here from a multinational turnout. We have also met many developers who are all eco-friendly, eco-based. We will absolutely be back in Ecobuild SEA 2018 as we are very happy with the service that we were given to date. We’d like to thank the organisers, they’ve done a really good job and it’s really well-presented and we look forward to Ecobuild again next year.

Visitors

I heard about Ecobuild through emails from the organiser of the show. This is the first time that I am visiting Ecobuild. I came here for exposure and to find about what is happening in the industry as well as to network for future partners and potential clients. I am also here to source the latest products from the solar sector including Photovoltaic solutions. So far, the event has been good and I would definitely be back for Ecobuild SEA 2018 for sure!
